Riyadh – September 16, 2026 -- Thunes has expanded its Direct Global Network to add payout services across six Middle East markets, giving Members faster and more transparent access to bank accounts, mobile wallets, and cash pickup points in Bahrain, Lebanon, Oman, South Yemen, Syria, and the United Arab Emirates.
Members can now process payouts in local currencies through direct API integration with Thunes or via existing Swift connectivity, extending reach into millions of bank accounts and mobile wallets across the region. The rollout follows Thunes' September 2025 expansion of real-time payments in Saudi Arabia.
Bahrain and Oman gain digital-economy payout infrastructure
In Bahrain, where the non-oil sector generated 85% of real GDP in 2025, Thunes is enabling direct bank payouts aligned with the country's National Digital Economy Strategy. In Oman, bank account payouts support Oman Vision 2040 as the country targets 4% GDP growth in 2026.
UAE payouts target both enterprise and consumer segments
Thunes now supports bank account payouts for consumers and enterprises in the UAE, a regional payments hub shaped by the National Payment Systems Strategy (NPSS).
Lebanon, South Yemen and Syria payouts address remittance dependency
In Lebanon, a market receiving roughly $7 billion in annual remittances, Thunes is enabling mobile wallet payouts. In South Yemen, where remittances account for more than 38% of total GDP -- ranking the country among the top three most remittance-dependent nations globally -- Thunes now supports bank and cash pickup payouts. In Syria, Thunes has introduced payouts to cash pickup locations as the local banking system undergoes reconstruction.

The payout infrastructure runs on Thunes' SmartX Treasury System for AI-driven forecasting and real-time liquidity management, backed by the company's Fortress Compliance Platform, which holds more than 50 licences worldwide.
