Girona – October 06, 2026 -- Online sports retailer TradeInn is expanding its logistics centre in Celrà to 50,000 square metres, a move the company ties directly to a strategic target of reaching €1.5 billion in revenue.
New racking system holds €170 million in stock ready for immediate shipment
The expanded facility will install 195 racks, each 60 metres long and 12 metres high, giving TradeInn capacity to store up to €170 million worth of inventory available for instant dispatch. The upgrade follows a decade of incremental automation at the site, which has grown from 12,000 m2 to its current footprint.
Dispatch capacity rises to 6,000 orders per hour with new packaging lines
TradeInn is adding 20 induction stations capable of processing 16,000 units per hour, two additional packaging machines to bring the total to four, and a multi-format case packer. Combined, these additions push operational dispatch capacity to 6,000 orders per hour.
New outbound sorter adds 7,500 packages per hour to distribution network
On the sorting side, the company is expanding its pocket sorter system for high-turnover products and installing a new outbound sorter capable of handling 7,500 packages per hour, reinforcing throughput for a catalogue that already exceeds 3 million products.
Automation history traces four milestones since 2017
TradeInn's first automated packaging machine and carrier-based sorter in 2017 lifted processing from 300 to 1,000 packages per hour. A second packaging line in 2019 doubled throughput to 2,000 packages per hour, and a 2021 pocket sorter installation tripled goods-handling capacity to 6,000 units per hour while expanding the facility to 24,000 m2. The 2026 upgrade marks the fourth and largest phase of this build-out.
Over 80% of revenue comes from outside Spain, across 190-plus countries
Operating specialist storefronts including Trekkinn, Bikeinn and Runnerinn, TradeInn sells in more than 190 countries, with over 80% of revenue generated outside its home Spanish market. The Celrà expansion is designed to sustain that international sales pace as the company scales toward its €1.5 billion revenue goal.
