Tokyo – October 15, 2026 -- transcosmos used its generative AI role-playing system trans-AI Tutor to let elementary school children try contact center work at Mini Sapporo 2026, held at Access Sapporo on October 3 and 4, 2026.
Mini Sapporo gives third- and fourth-graders a full work-and-spend cycle
Mini Sapporo is a work experience program for third- and fourth-grade pupils in Sapporo City and neighboring areas. It is built on the Sapporo City Convention on the Rights of the Child. Participants search for jobs, work, receive wages and pay taxes. They then spend their earnings on shopping and dining.
Children pick AI customer personas and resolve their problems
At the transcosmos booth, children took the role of a contact center agent. Using trans-AI Tutor, they chose from AI-powered customer personas with varying characteristics and decided whom to assist. They had to listen closely to identify each persona's problem and aimed to earn a "Thank you!" from the customer. The company said the exercise taught them the importance of communication.
Subsidiary transcosmos assist inc. supplies handmade gifts
Each participating child received one handmade item of their choice: an original pocket notebook, blank notebook or memo pad. The items were made by employees of transcosmos assist inc., a special subsidiary established to promote the employment of persons with disabilities.
