Yantai – October 29, 2026 -- Translators and journalists from China, Germany, Egypt, Pakistan, Morocco and Russia visited biopharmaceutical, intelligent manufacturing and tourism sites in Yantai, Shandong Province, during a three-day program held Oct. 11-13, 2026.
CICG academy and Yantai party committee co-organize fieldwork tour
The event, titled "Where Mountains Meet the Sea, Intelligence Inspires New Voices," was co-organized by the CICG Academy of Translation and Interpretation and the Publicity Department of the CPC Yantai Municipal Committee. Participants combined site visits with discussion sessions on their work.
Delegates inspect RemeGen and Yantai Gogetter facilities
The itinerary included RemeGen Co., Ltd. (Yantai) and Yantai Gogetter Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd. The visits showcased the city's strengths in biopharmaceuticals and intelligent manufacturing, two sectors the organizers presented as drivers of Yantai's industrial upgrading.
Guests also tour Penglai Pavilion and offshore eco-resort Kongtong Wonderland
Delegates visited the Penglai Pavilion ancient architectural complex and Kongtong Wonderland, described as China's first offshore immersive fairyland eco-resort. These stops covered Yantai's cultural heritage and its maritime cultural tourism offering.
Discussions center on cultural translation and city communication
Chinese and international guests discussed cultural translation, narratives of scientific and technological innovation, and the international communication of cities from the perspective of maritime civilization. The organizers said Yantai's progress in heritage preservation, industrial upgrading and cultural tourism innovation is drawing more people to visit and settle in the city.
