Westminster, Colorado – September 15, 2026 -- Trimble has unveiled four new GNSS receiver modules — the BD1090, BD1092, BD1092i and BX1092i — built on its next-generation Maxwell 8 technology, targeting OEM integrators in geospatial, marine, construction and mining sectors facing rising GPS jamming and spoofing threats.
New JammerGuard system defends against full spectrum of jamming signals
The centerpiece of the launch is Trimble JammerGuard, a comprehensive anti-jamming and anti-spoofing capability that deploys automatically and independently. Unlike conventional anti-jamming tools that counter only select jammer types, JammerGuard is designed to handle jamming broadly while authenticating that reported positions are genuine.
Quad-core processing delivers four times the computing power of prior generation
Maxwell 8 receivers feature a quad-core CPU with DDR4 RAM, providing four times the processing power of the previous Maxwell generation to support advanced sensor fusion and complex computations. Expanded channel capacity enables simultaneous multi-constellation, multi-frequency reception for what Trimble calls "all-in-view" tracking, improving positioning accuracy and signal availability.
MEMS-based oscillators cut vibration sensitivity by a factor of ten
For high-vibration environments common in construction and mining equipment, the new boards incorporate MEMS-based oscillators offering ten times lower vibration sensitivity than prior designs. An upgraded IMU adds improved orientation and stability for precision applications.
Modules are built for compatibility with emerging Low Earth Orbit constellations
Trimble designed the receivers for future compatibility with LEO positioning signals, including demonstration mission signals from Xona Pulsar, positioning the modules to adapt as global satellite infrastructure evolves.
Van Oord reports more resilient GNSS performance in Middle East and Baltic operations
Wim Balvert, workshop and innovation manager at marine contractor Van Oord, said evaluation of the anti-jamming technology showed a more resilient system with clearer diagnostics during GNSS jamming incidents across the company's dredging, infrastructure and offshore energy operations in the Middle East and Baltic region.
Ron Bisio, president of field systems at Trimble, said the receivers are the first in a lineup of advancements aimed at cutting operational downtime for companies using Trimble technology amid growing intentional jamming and spoofing threats.
Products debut at two industry trade shows in September
The new receivers will be displayed at ION GNSS+ 2026 in Orlando, running Sept. 14-18 at booth 212, and at INTERGEO 2026 in Munich, running Sept. 15-17 in hall B6, booth D035.
