SINGAPORE – September 15, 2026 -- UROVO has launched two new retail hardware products, the SP35 Personal Shopper and U100 Price Checker, designed to extend self-service capabilities beyond fixed kiosks to more points across the shop floor.
UROVO targets staffing pressure with mobile and shelf-side devices
The enterprise mobility and AIDC solutions provider unveiled the two purpose-built units as retailers face rising pressure to deliver convenient in-store experiences with leaner store teams. The SP35 is a mobile device intended to let shoppers navigate the store independently, while the U100 is a fixed shelf-side unit for product and pricing lookups.
SP35 combines positioning, scanning and payment in one handheld unit
The SP35 Personal Shopper features optional UWB-powered positioning for item location and navigation, barcode scanning with an auto-scan mode for scan-as-you-shop functionality, and NFC/SoftPOS support for contactless mobile payment.
U100 puts a 10.1-inch touchscreen and RFID reading at the shelf
The U100 Price Checker uses a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen to display regular, promotional and member pricing. An optional UHF RFID reader supports multi-item scanning for product lookup and comparison, while presence sensing activates the display as shoppers approach and runs promotional content when idle.
Zhang Bo, CTO of UROVO, said self-service is shifting from fixed destinations toward being embedded throughout the shopping journey, requiring technology that meets shoppers at the point of need rather than only where a kiosk is installed.
UROVO to showcase both products at NRF Europe in Paris
UROVO will present the SP35, U100 and its broader connected retail portfolio at NRF 2026: Retail's Big Show Europe, running Sept. 15-17 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Hall 6, Booth B-020.
