Espoo – October 12, 2026 -- Valmet will supply a complete high-speed board making line, PM 9, to Anhui Linping Circular Development's mill in China, with start-up scheduled for 2028. The order is booked in Valmet's third-quarter 2026 orders received, and its value will not be disclosed.
Valmet extends Xiao County partnership after PM 8 delivery
PM 9 follows the complete board making line PM 8, which Valmet previously delivered to the same customer site in Xiao County. The new line is designed for lightweight fluting and liner grades. Anhui Linping aims to broaden its product portfolio while improving resource efficiency and lowering environmental impact.
Anhui Linping Chairman Li Jianshe said the investment will "strengthen our position in the market" and cited the earlier project with Valmet as the basis for confidence in the full-scope delivery.
Scope runs from headbox to winder with runnability features for high speeds
The delivery covers the full machine from headbox to winder. An advanced layering gap headbox is intended to deliver optimal layer structure and sheet formation. A press with center roll and closed sheet transfer provide continuous web support from the press section to the dryer.
Compact predryer geometry and engineered runnability systems are meant to reduce web-break risk and keep operation stable at high machine speeds. The winder is specified to secure the machine's capacity targets and customer roll quality.
Automation and lifecycle services cover spare parts, digital tools and clothing
Valmet will also provide spare parts, digital services and paper machine clothing. Its automation solutions are intended to secure production efficiency and support the mill's progression toward increasingly autonomous operations.
Veli-Matti Miskala, Sales Manager in Valmet's Packaging and Paper Business Area, described the order as a reflection of trust built through long-term cooperation.
