Valmet books about EUR 10 million in Q4 costs to prepare a possible two-company split

The Board launched a strategic review on July 24, 2026, to assess separating Biomaterial Solutions and Services from Process Performance Solutions into two standalone companies listed on Nasdaq Helsinki. No decision has been made. Valmet will start activities in Q4 to strengthen the segments' readiness to operate independently, at costs of roughly EUR 10 million.

Review costs will be reported as items affecting comparability and will not hit comparable EBITA. An update is due no later than the full-year 2026 results.

Valmet holds 2026 guidance and targets 15 percent EBITA margin by 2030

The company reiterated that 2026 net sales will stay at the 2025 level of EUR 5,197 million, and that comparable EBITA will match or exceed EUR 620 million.

For October 2026 to March 2027, Valmet expects low year-over-year growth in the Process Performance Solutions market and a broadly unchanged Biomaterial Solutions and Services market. It expects the biomaterial services market to stabilize in coming quarters. Geopolitical and economic uncertainty remains high.

CEO Thomas Hinnerskov called the EBITA result "progress, but not the destination." Valmet's 2030 targets are 5 percent organic growth, a 15 percent comparable EBITA margin and a 20 percent return on capital employed.
