Los Angeles – September 13, 2026 -- Vision Films will release the dystopian drama "Isolation" worldwide on Transactional VOD on September 22, 2026, through a distribution agreement with Legacy Distribution.
Deal expands independent film's reach across major streaming platforms
The film will launch on Amazon, Apple TV/iTunes, Google Play and most cable platforms in the US, Canada and UK on the same date. The agreement pairs Vision Films' VOD aggregation network, which handles over 800 titles, with Legacy Distribution's international programming and digital media distribution infrastructure.
Feature grew from a 16-minute award-winning short into a full production
"Isolation" was directed and produced by James Drake Coleman, who also stars in, edited and scored the film. The project was co-produced by Joe Barajas of Regardless Productions and financed through angel investors after its original short-film version won awards. Filming took place across multiple Texas locations, including Austin, Monahans Sandhills State Park in West Texas and the Pineywoods forest region in East Texas.
Cast includes voice talent from musician-actress Sheilava
The story follows Logan, a prisoner aboard a spacecraft who retrieves alien artifacts in exchange for a chance at freedom, aided only by an onboard AI messaging system named "AMI." The cast includes James Drake Coleman, voice performer Sheilava, Timothy Banfield, Erv Brown and Chiara McCarty.
Lise Romanoff, CEO and Managing Director of Vision Films, said the film keeps audiences uncertain about what is real until its final scene, framing it within the psychological tension of isolation and paranoia.
