San Francisco – October 13, 2026 -- Voxel, an industrial intelligence company, has added the Ventral AI engineering team to its organization, folding a computer vision specialist it has partnered with for the past year into its core engineering group.
Ventral AI brings expertise in moving cameras and data center construction
Ventral AI was co-founded by Matko Kulaš and Luka Žagar. It specializes in industrial automation and complex computer vision applications. The source names two areas of strength:
- Deploying real-time computer vision and vision language models on moving equipment and transport fleets.
- Deploying computer vision models for data center buildouts, high-precision construction sites and heavy industrial environments.
Voxel and Ventral AI worked together on custom enterprise capabilities under a strategic partnership during the past year. Žagar, Co-Founder and CEO of Ventral AI, said the combination will help enterprise teams solve frontline challenges faster.
Voxel targets supply chain volatility and labor constraints with its System of Reality
Voxel describes its System of Reality as a software category that layers proprietary AI over existing camera infrastructure. The aim is to turn passive hardware into real-time operational intelligence. CEO Vernon O'Donnell said industrial leaders facing supply chain volatility, labor constraints and rising throughput demands need "a single source of truth" for their physical footprint.
European customer base and talent pool drive the expansion
Voxel cites strong momentum with enterprise customers across Europe. It says the move lets it respond faster to customer needs and recruit from Europe's top-ranking technical universities.
Voxel ranked #71 on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies and recently announced new executive hires. The company serves warehousing, manufacturing, distribution and insurance customers. Financial terms of the Ventral AI integration were not disclosed.
