Everett – September 15, 2026 -- WaterTectonics has acquired the patents and intellectual property of Dynamic Water Technologies (DWT), becoming the exclusive Original Equipment Manufacturer of the Dynamic Scale Remover (DSR), an electrochemical cooling tower treatment technology.

The DSR system uses a patented electrochemical process to strip dissolved scale-forming minerals from cooling water before they accumulate on heat transfer surfaces. The process simultaneously generates oxidants from chlorides already present in the water, cutting the need for added biocides while allowing facilities to run at higher cycles of concentration.
Deal targets water and chemical savings across data centers, manufacturing and pharma cooling systems
WaterTectonics will integrate DSR into its existing cooling tower treatment portfolio, which spans electrocoagulation, electrochemical oxidation, dissolved air flotation, media filtration, ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis. Target sectors include data centers, manufacturing, food and beverage processing, pharmaceuticals and commercial buildings, where cooling system reliability and water conservation are operational priorities.
DWT founder joins WaterTectonics to lead technical integration of DSR platform
Janco Vermeulen, Ph.D.Eng., CEM, founder of Dynamic Water Technologies, has joined WaterTectonics as part of the transaction, adding his technical background to the company's cooling tower water treatment practice. Vermeulen said the partnership pairs DWT's electrochemical innovation with an organization holding the engineering, manufacturing and service infrastructure needed to scale the technology to a broader market.
