Zifo's accelerator targets manual master data preparation in LIMS projects
Master data is foundational to configuring and implementing a LIMS. The source information is often scattered across PDFs, specifications, procedures and spreadsheets. Finding it, checking it and converting it into structured master data objects takes significant manual effort. The work must also meet the consistency, traceability and auditability that regulated environments expect.
Tool extracts lab document data and builds LIMS objects under expert review
The accelerator extracts relevant information from laboratory source documents, organizes it into structured data and supports the creation of master data objects for LIMS platforms. It links document extraction, human review and object creation in one workflow.
The tool also verifies the configured objects. It validates the setup by logging a sample and generating the appropriate report, such as an Analysis Report or Certificate of Analysis.
Zifo says laboratory and informatics specialists stay in control of review and decision-making. The accelerator presents structured information for expert review rather than replacing lab expertise, keeping the extraction and transformation steps transparent.
Zifo ties the award to its Practical AI3 service accelerator strategy
Narasimhan Aravumudan, Zifo's Vice President - Scientific Data for AI, said the recognition reflects a focus on "translating AI innovation into practical value for regulated laboratories." He said the service is meant to help laboratories receive system-ready master data more efficiently and confidently.
The award is part of Zifo's push to build AI-enabled service accelerators under the Practical AI3 label. The company says this approach can reduce implementation effort and help organizations reach productive use of their LIMS platforms sooner.
Nasscom launched the AI Gamechangers program in 2021 to highlight AI implementations from India's innovation ecosystem.
