CHANGSHA, China – October 30, 2026 -- Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. unveiled the 9DX hybrid tractor, with a peak output of 1,600 horsepower, at the 2026 China International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition on Oct. 26. The company describes it as the world's most powerful tractor.
9DX delivers 7,200 newton-meters of peak torque through an 800-volt dual-motor system
The tractor is designed for sustained, heavy-duty operations on very large farms. Its digital chassis, core components and control systems were developed in-house. A high-horsepower hybrid continuously variable transmission and the 800-volt dual-motor coupling system support work with large agricultural implements.
Hydraulic flow of 636 liters per minute supports wide seeders and variable-rate fertilizer applicators
The same flow rate also serves large tillage equipment. A four-track drive system with proprietary 762-millimeter-wide tracks is meant to reduce surface soil compaction. A fully suspended cab with independent suspension is intended to give operators a smoother ride.
Partners from more than 20 countries sign commercial agreements at Zoomlion's Changsha dealer conference
On Oct. 28, Zoomlion hosted more than 230 partners at its 2027 Global Agricultural Machinery Dealer Conference at Zoomlion Smart Industry City in Changsha. Signatories came from more than 20 countries, including Spain, Türkiye, Australia, Brazil and Egypt.
Overseas partners toured intelligent factories, agricultural machinery testing laboratories and production bases in Kaifeng and Changde. They also watched autonomous operation demonstrations and test-drove tractors and rice harvesters.
Zoomlion names agricultural machinery among its most important strategic businesses
Chairman and CEO Zhan Chunxin said the company supplies global markets with equipment and operating solutions covering tillage, planting, crop management, harvesting and storage. Zoomlion is pursuing a "High-End, International, and New Energy" strategy.
At the exhibition, the company also displayed intelligent machinery and implements, precision farming technologies, software platforms and smart hardware. The 9DX expands its hybrid agricultural machinery portfolio.
