The company is showcasing this portfolio alongside newly introduced sodium-ion auxiliary battery solutions for electric and commercial vehicles at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026.
Sodium-ion batteries outlast lead-acid in start-stop applications by more than 3x
Aeson Power's sodium-ion starter and start-stop batteries deliver instant starting power, fast charging and strong cold-start performance at low weight, according to the company. It states their lifespan in start-stop applications exceeds that of conventional lead-acid batteries by more than three times, while operating across a wide temperature range.
New auxiliary units target EVs and commercial vehicles during idle phases
The newly presented sodium-ion auxiliary battery solutions supply low-voltage backup and emergency power to vehicle systems in electric and commercial vehicles when the main motor is off, such as during parking. Aeson Power is developing these solutions jointly with unnamed partners for presentation to automakers, suppliers, dealers and aftermarket partners at the Frankfurt show.
Aeson Power expands into OEM supply chain with Xupai Group partnership
Building on its aftermarket track record, Aeson Power is expanding into the OEM market together with the Xupai Group, drawing on more than 30 years of battery industry experience. The partnership combines expertise in battery R&D, battery management systems (BMS), testing and system integration to develop production-ready auxiliary power solutions for EVs and start-stop systems for internal combustion vehicles.
