New York – October 19, 2026 -- Amsterdam Nursing Home has been ranked #36 among New York nursing homes with 150 beds or more in Newsweek's America's Best Nursing Homes 2027, its fourth consecutive year on the list.
Newsweek and Statista screen 14,693 facilities to select 1,325
The 2027 ranking recognizes 1,325 of the nation's top nursing homes out of 14,693 analyzed, meaning roughly 9% of the facilities evaluated made the cut. Newsweek compiles the list each year with the global data research firm Statista.
The evaluation draws on performance data, peer recommendations, accreditations and satisfaction metrics. It also uses data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Amsterdam's administrator credits staff for fourth straight listing
Moshe Blackstein, Administrator at Amsterdam Nursing Home, said the recognition reflects the daily dedication of the facility's staff and its focus on resident comfort, respect and support.
Amsterdam, based in New York City, offers long-term care, short-term rehabilitation and specialized memory care. The #36 placement falls in Newsweek's New York category for facilities with 150 beds or more.
