Arasan to Test I3C IP Portfolio at MIPI Interop Session in Taipei

San Jose, Calif. – September 15, 2026 -- Arasan Chip Systems will test its full I3C IP portfolio at the MIPI I3C Interoperability Session in Taipei on October 19-20, 2026, alongside other industry vendors validating compliance with the sensor-control standard.

Arasan brings three I3C IP variants and software stack to Taipei testing

The company will run interoperability tests on its I3C Host IP, I3C Dual Mode IP -- which supports both host and device functions -- and I3C Device IP. Arasan will also validate its licensable proprietary I3C software stack during the session, held alongside the MIPI Member Meeting.

Host IP meets latest HCI v1.2 specification for common driver support

Arasan's I3C Host IP complies with the I3C HCI v1.2 specification, which standardizes interfaces to enable common software drivers across vendors. The company is testing this IP alongside its Linux software stack and I3C Hardware Development Kit (HDK), both of which are available to customers.

CTO cites compliance investment as basis for licensee deliverables

Prakash Kamath, CTO at Arasan, said continued investment in interoperability testing ensures the company's Total MIPI I3C IP portfolio remains compliant, and that participation in these sessions helps build vendor relationships that translate into standards-compliant products for licensees.

I3C IP integrates with camera-control stack, licensed by 25-plus companies

Arasan's I3C IP is configurable via scripts and has been integrated with the company's MIPI CSI-2 IP cores, C-PHY IP and D-PHY IP for camera sensor control applications. Sensor and application processor vendors can license the combined I3C, CSI and C/D-PHY IP package. Arasan's I3C IP has been licensed by more than 25 companies and is silicon-proven across multiple production SoCs.
