LONDON – September 19, 2026 -- Chinese display maker BOE Technology Group has taken the role of lead display technology partner at the "Reviving Craft – Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage and Contemporary Design Exhibition," which opened September 16 at Somerset House as part of London Design Festival 2026. The show, organized by Sun Media Group, marks BOE's third consecutive year anchoring the flagship "Reflection of The Mind" event, following prior editions in Paris in 2024 and Milan in 2025.
BOE deploys four display categories to digitize Chinese heritage craft
The company built an "ICH + Digital Technology" experience space using transparent displays, smart displays, large LED screens, and a smart writing desk to present China's intangible cultural heritage in interactive digital form. BOE Day and BOE Night sessions accompanied the exhibition, drawing industry guests and functioning as a networking platform for tech firms and international partners.
Chief Brand Officer frames the initiative as a model for cultural globalization
Si Da, Senior Vice President and Chief Brand Officer of BOE, said the company's strategy of combining technology and culture is central to its international outreach, noting that globalization requires integrating into local communities rather than simply exporting technology. He said BOE will continue pursuing a "Technology + Culture" approach to support cultural exchange abroad.
BOE ties the London event to a broader sustainability and education portfolio
BOE says it is the first Chinese technology company to endorse the UNESCO International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development, and has partnered with UNESCO to establish a Science Club Network across Africa and Asia-Pacific. Its decade-old "Light the Way Forward" charity program has funded construction of 156 smart classrooms across 10 underserved Chinese provinces. The company's sustainability brand "ONE" (Open Next Earth) and its net-zero factory initiatives were featured as climate action case studies at COP30 and at COP17 of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification. BOE was also named to the 2024 Forbes China ESG 50 list.
