San Jose – October 27, 2026 -- Compal Electronics (TWSE: 2324) and ARC Cloud have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding to explore a data center development roadmap of up to 100 MW for large-scale AI computing infrastructure.

Compal and ARC Cloud sign framework MOU at 2026 OCP Global Summit

The MOU establishes a framework for collaboration across multiple projects. It aligns with ARC Cloud's plans for continued capital investment in AI infrastructure and data center development across the United States, including California, Nevada, Texas and Georgia.

The partnership extends beyond AI server supply to system engineering, technical validation, deployment coordination and ongoing support. The stated aim is to accelerate delivery of computing capacity for AI model training, fine-tuning and inference.

Compal supplies rack-scale and liquid-cooling expertise, ARC Cloud runs GPU clusters

Compal will contribute AI server manufacturing, rack-scale integration and liquid-cooling technologies. ARC Cloud will provide infrastructure investment, strategic technology partnerships, and the engineering and operation of high-performance GPU clusters.

The companies will work to align system configurations, production schedules and data center deployment requirements. They are also exploring joint engineering, system validation and lifecycle technical support to improve deployment efficiency and operational readiness.

Alan Chang, Vice President of Compal's Infrastructure Systems Business Group, said the partnership builds on Compal's engineering strengths and opens new opportunities in the growing NeoCloud market. ARC Cloud Co-Founder William Tiah said "AI customers need more than access to GPUs," adding that closer integration of system engineering and infrastructure planning will help ARC build and operate reliable clusters.

100 MW roadmap remains exploratory with no purchase or investment commitment

The MOU does not constitute a binding investment or purchase commitment. The 100 MW roadmap is not a confirmed project, capacity commitment, purchase commitment or revenue forecast. Specific projects, capacity, commercial terms and timelines remain subject to further agreements.
