Age Safe America Relaunches Home Safety Advisor Certification

Los Gatos – – October 13, 2026 -- Age Safe America has relaunched its Aging in Place Home Safety Advisor program, a 15-module business course and certification track aimed at people who want to build home safety assessment practices for older adults, as 64.6 million Americans are now 65 or older.
Relaunch adds a business course, field kit and portal to the 2015 SHSS credential
The program is built on the Senior Home Safety Specialist (SHSS) certification, which Age Safe America has offered since 2015. The update adds an upgraded online business course, the Advisor Field Kit of editable, client-ready documents and a new Advisor Portal. Graduates earn the Aging in Place Home Safety Advisor certification.
