Providers can now record medical video and still images at the bedside, in the clinic and at other point-of-care locations without a desktop computer.

Mobile devices connect to any scope through a low-cost USB capture card

A phone or tablet can be linked to any scope via a USB capture card, which Altamont says removes the need for a desktop computer or costly video connection box. The app forwards captured clinical images and video to PACS, VNA and the EMR. It also integrates medical video directly into Epic Lumens.
