NYU Langone Names Sean Berry Vice Chair of Radiation Oncology Physics

New York – September 15, 2026 -- NYU Langone Health's Perlmutter Cancer Center has named Sean L. Berry, PhD, vice chair of physics and dosimetry in its Department of Radiation Oncology, recruiting a 20-year veteran of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center to lead treatment-planning quality and safety programs.

Berry moves from a regional physicist role overseeing multi-site radiation oncology operations

Before joining NYU Langone, Berry served as regional lead physicist and associate attending physicist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, managing clinical physics operations across outpatient sites in Westchester County, New York, and Bergen County, New Jersey. His duties included supervising faculty physicists, staff physicists and dosimetrists, regulatory readiness, accreditation activities, budget oversight, linear accelerator commissioning and standardizing radiation oncology practice across multiple locations.
