Kuala Lumpur – October 27, 2026 -- CTruk Boats Sdn Bhd and Integris signed a memorandum of understanding at Defence Services Asia 2026 (DSA 2026) to co-develop lightweight composite armour for CTruk's new 40m Surface Effect Ship (SES) Fast Patrol Craft.
Integris to build configurable armour kits for the SES platform
Integris will develop tailored lightweight armour kits for the SES, optimised for long-term durability in demanding marine environments across the Asia Pacific region. The kits are configurable to end-user requirements, including protection levels, coverage areas such as the wheelhouse, engine room and weapon stations, and modular installation.
Ride control technology lets the SES carry weapons, sensors and ballistic protection
The SES incorporates advanced ride control and stabilisation technology. This allows integration of weapons, surveillance equipment and ballistic protection, which CTruk says improves mission effectiveness and survivability for crew and onboard systems.
Peter Kidd of CTruk said the partnership lets the company combine performance with advanced protection to meet customers' evolving needs.
Integris targets APAC naval and security forces with marine expansion
Integris Composites produces lightweight composite armour for marine, land, aerospace and personal protection applications. Jacob Abelsen, Sales Director APAC, described the agreement as a significant step in expanding the company's marine capabilities in the region, with scalable protection aligned to the operational demands of naval and security forces.
The MOU sets the framework for the collaboration. The source discloses no financial terms, delivery timelines or customer commitments. Both companies are exhibiting at DSA 2026 at Booth 7083.
