CuBE Packaging Invests $30M+ in Illinois Plant Expansion

St. Charles – October 13, 2026 -- CuBE Packaging Solutions Inc. is investing more than $30 million to expand its U.S. manufacturing facility in St. Charles, Illinois, adding new high-speed injection molding machines and integrated end-of-line automation to raise domestic production capacity.

CuBE funds multi-phase build-out through 2027

The investment covers renovation of the facility and a multi-phase installation of injection molding equipment and automation. The initial phase is complete and in production. Additional phases are underway and planned through 2027.

The St. Charles plant entered production in late 2025. It anchors CuBE's U.S. manufacturing footprint and complements its flagship site in Aurora, Ontario, described by the company as one of the largest single-site food storage injection molding facilities in North America.

Retail and foodservice demand drives the capacity increase

CuBE, founded in 2009, makes reusable, recyclable polypropylene food containers that are microwave, dishwasher, and freezer safe. Its customers include retail, grocery, restaurant, and foodservice accounts in the United States and Canada. The company says demand has accelerated as retailers and restaurant operators move toward higher-quality, sustainable packaging for takeout, delivery, and private label programs.

The expansion will significantly increase U.S. production capacity and create new manufacturing jobs in St. Charles and the surrounding Fox Valley region. The company did not disclose the number of jobs or the added capacity.

Management and owner cite supply chain proximity

CEO Philippe Erhart said St. Charles gives CuBE a scalable American manufacturing platform that brings it closer to customers. The company says the investment strengthens its North American supply chain.

Ian Kessler, Partner at Kent Road Capital, CuBE's private equity owner, said the expansion lets CuBE serve U.S. customers with greater speed, scale, and resilience. St. Charles Mayor Clint Hull welcomed the investment as a sign of confidence in the city as a place for manufacturers to grow.
