CordenPharma Invests €80M to Reach 500M Sterile Injectable Units

Basel – September 15, 2026 -- CordenPharma is committing €80 million in multi-year capital expenditure to expand aseptic fill-finish capacity at its FDA- and EMA-approved Caponago site near Milan, targeting total production capacity of up to 500 million sterile injectable units annually.

New 11,000-square-meter facility adds over 50% to site footprint

A key milestone within the total investment was the €13 million acquisition of a new 11,000 m2 commercial building and an adjacent 26,000 m2 plot next to the existing advanced-phase fill-finish area. The expansion, completed July 28, 2026, increases the facility's overall footprint by more than 50%.

Two-line plant in Uttar Pradesh targets 2027 startup

The facility, located in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, was first announced in April 2026 and will feature two production lines. Operations are scheduled to commence in the second half of 2027, positioning Crown to serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage segments in the market.
