CXC Investments Hires Silver Fern Financial as Outsourced CFO

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – October 21, 2026 -- CXC Investments, LLC, the manager of long/short equity vehicle CXC Horizon Fund, LP, has engaged Silver Fern Financial LLC as its outsourced Chief Financial Officer partner, less than two years after the fund launched in July 2025.

Silver Fern Financial will work alongside CXC management and existing service providers

Silver Fern will provide senior financial leadership and alternative investment management expertise to support the fund's ongoing operations. It will not replace existing service providers. CXC describes the move as an investment in the fund's financial and operational infrastructure as the firm grows.

Benjamin Cohen, Founder and Managing Partner of CXC Investments, said the aim is to strengthen "the financial and operational foundation supporting the Fund."

Founder William Bruce brings nearly three decades of experience, including Goldman Sachs and Ernst & Young

Silver Fern is a boutique firm founded by William Bruce, CA, CFA. It serves hedge funds, private equity firms and other alternative investment managers. Bruce has held senior CFO and CCO positions at investment management firms and earlier worked at Goldman Sachs and Ernst & Young.

His background covers institutional operating infrastructure, financial reporting, fund administration oversight, regulatory compliance and operational due diligence. Bruce said establishing a strong foundation early is critical for investment firms.

CXC Horizon Fund runs a valuation-driven long/short equity strategy across sectors

The fund seeks long-term capital appreciation by targeting undervalued companies with high barriers to entry and durable competitive advantages. It keeps flexibility across sectors and market capitalizations and emphasizes disciplined risk management.
