San Francisco – September 08, 2026 -- Docusign (Nasdaq: DOCU) will make its Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server generally available to every AI agent worldwide on September 30, letting agreement intelligence and governed contract actions be called natively from Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Slack and any MCP client.
Docusign extends two decades of API-first infrastructure to AI agents
The company's eSignature technology is already embedded in more than 1,100 partner-built applications. The new MCP Server extends that same open architecture to agents using Docusign's Iris AI engine across Intelligent Agreement Management and advanced Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) workflows, giving agents access to past negotiations, accepted terms, clauses and company policy.
Enterprise controls anchor the global rollout
The MCP Server includes account-level admin controls, global multi-region infrastructure and multilingual support. Data flows bidirectionally: information from systems like Oracle feeds into Docusign, while Docusign capabilities extend into Slack, Perplexity and Salesforce, where Iris runs natively alongside Agentforce.
Salesforce names Docusign Partner of the Year for IAM integrations
Salesforce recently recognized Docusign with a Partner of the Year award for integrations spanning Salesforce, Agentforce and Slack that let customers close deals, extract contract insight for renewals and collaborate on agreements without leaving their existing workflow tools. Joe Inzerillo, President of Enterprise & AI Technology at Salesforce, said Agentforce and Slackbot will read and act on contract terms in real time to accelerate sales and service actions.
Early adopters test agentic contract workflows
Slalom's Carlos Etter, Director of Global Enterprise Applications & CLM Practice Leader, said the MCP capabilities give organizations a practical path to bring agreement workflows into the AI platforms where employees already work. Experian's Gary Sonnenthal, VP of Global Quote to Cash Product, said Docusign serves as the company's core agreement layer and that Experian is exploring agentic capabilities to verify accuracy at the drafting stage and automate across the contract lifecycle.
