Philadelphia – September 11, 2026 -- Durable Surfaces has appointed Matt Joyner as Chief Executive Officer to steer the national industrial concrete repair and restoration firm through its next growth phase.
Joyner brings two decades of scaling experience from robotics and defense sectors
Joyner most recently served as Chief Revenue Officer at Ghost Robotics, where he supported the company's rapid growth and international market expansion. He has more than 20 years of executive leadership across technology, robotics, and aerospace and defense industries, and previously sat on the Board of Directors of the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International, also serving as Vice Chair of its Defense Advocacy Committee.
Founders retain ownership while shifting to operational leadership roles
Durable co-owners Jeff Desso, Derek Cressman and Marc Williams will keep ownership of the company and remain active in the business, leading marketing, technology and technical services, and operations, respectively. Joyner will work alongside them to set and execute long-term business strategy.
Cressman said Durable has built a strong reputation by solving difficult problems for customers and surrounding itself with talented people, adding that Joyner brings the strategic leadership needed to scale the organization further.

Durable provides concrete repair and restoration, high-performance coatings, precision flatness remediation for robotics and automated systems, and concrete testing for warehouses, manufacturing facilities and distribution centers across the United States. The appointment marks the company's transition from a regional concrete contractor into a national technical services partner supporting increasingly automated industrial operations.
