United States – October 27, 2026 -- Eagleview's 2D-to-3D pitch editor is now available directly inside Xactimate®, letting roofers and property claims adjusters build 3D roof sketches from a single entered pitch without leaving their estimating platform.
Single pitch input generates a full 3D roof sketch
Users add pitch information to a 2D roof diagram and convert it into a 3D sketch. Only one roof pitch must be entered. The tool calculates additional pitches automatically to complete the model.
Eagleview introduced the pitch editor for cases where a roof exists as a 2D diagram but the estimate requires a 3D sketch.
In-platform access removes application switching and re-entry
Roofers and adjusters often manage multiple projects, estimates or claims at once. Moving between applications, re-entering data and sketching manually each add steps to the workflow. Embedding the editor in Xactimate keeps users in the environment where they already build estimates.
Eagleview lists five intended gains:
- Less manual work by converting 2D diagrams into usable 3D sketches.
- More of the process completed within Xactimate.
- Fewer application switches and unnecessary steps.
- Shorter cycle times for obtaining roof information needed for an estimate.
- Higher capacity, with more estimates and claims processed in less time.
Severe weather surges raise the value of saved steps at scale
Eagleview argues that time saved on one estimate compounds across hundreds or thousands of estimates and claims. During severe weather events, when claim volumes can rise quickly, a streamlined workflow can help roofing and insurance teams add capacity.
The integration joins Eagleview's property intelligence and 3D roof modeling with the estimating environment roofers and claims professionals use daily, bringing roof data, sketching and estimating closer together.
