Edmonton – October 15, 2026 -- Flair Vacations LP, the new vacation package unit of Canadian carrier Flair Airlines, has signed a distribution agreement with IBS Software to source hotel rooms across the Caribbean and Mexico through the iStay Gateway platform, ahead of a package launch for the Canadian winter season in November 2026.
Flair Vacations connects to hotel inventory through a single iStay Gateway integration
The deal gives Flair Vacations one technical connection to a distribution network that already serves established airline vacation brands. That removes the need to build and maintain individual supply integrations. iStay Gateway handles rate and availability distribution, booking and content delivery, leaving the Flair Vacations team to focus on packaging, pricing and selling.
Packages from five Canadian cities target Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Punta Cana, Puerto Plata and Montego Bay
Travellers departing from Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton will book flights and accommodation together. Listed destinations are Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Punta Cana, Puerto Plata and Montego Bay.
Flair enters a competitive airline vacation category with value-based positioning
The airline vacation category is one of the most competitive parts of the domestic leisure market, as Canadian carriers have extended their offers beyond flights for years. Flair Vacations enters it with the value-based fare positioning of its parent airline and a network built around the destinations Canadians book most in winter.
Nicole Bursey, President of Flair Vacations, said speed to market and hotel choice were decisive factors, and that the platform leaves room to expand destinations and product as demand grows.
Steffan Berelowitz, VP, Hospitality Solutions at IBS Software, said access to hotel supply at scale is critical for a new vacation business and that iStay Gateway gives Flair the flexibility to expand its offering.
Agreement covers hotel connectivity only, with further iStay modules under review
The agreement is limited to hotel connectivity for the Flair Vacations packaging business. Both companies will review further areas of the iStay portfolio as the division grows its destination mix and passenger volumes. IBS Software's iStay Hotel Commerce platform also includes a Central Reservation System (CRS), a call center and a booking engine.
