Taipei – September 04, 2026 -- Gemtek Technology Co., Ltd. and Dixon Technologies (India) Limited are scaling up their joint venture in India to expand production of Optical Transceivers, BOSA (Bidirectional Optical Sub-Assembly) and other high-speed optical connectivity components.

Joint venture pairs Gemtek's photonic integration with Dixon's manufacturing scale

The collaboration combines Gemtek's optical communications and product development expertise with Dixon's supply-chain capabilities and manufacturing presence in India. The partners aim to build a platform serving Broadband, Telecom, Cloud, Data Center and AI Infrastructure markets both in India and internationally.

Gemtek extends optical portfolio from 1G to 1.6T

Gemtek is broadening its optical connectivity lineup to cover speeds from 1G to 1.6T, including Optical Transceivers, SFPs and BOSA modules. Using EIC-PIC photonic integration and advanced manufacturing processes, the company is pushing its roadmap toward 800G and 1.6T technologies to meet rising bandwidth demand from AI, cloud and data center operators.

India push targets local manufacturing and supply-chain diversification

The expanded collaboration aligns with India's push for domestic production of Optical Transceivers and BOSA components. By pairing Gemtek's technology with Dixon's local manufacturing footprint, the venture is designed to scale output in India while adding to Gemtek's existing global production base, broadening geographic diversification for supply-chain resilience.

Gemtek to display 1.6T portfolio at India Mobile Congress in October

Gemtek will exhibit its 1G-to-1.6T optical connectivity lineup at India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026, running October 7-10, 2026, at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, Hall 2, Booth B1. The showcase will feature Optical Transceivers, BOSA and next-generation high-speed optical solutions for Broadband, Telecom and AI Data Center applications.
