Miami Gardens, Fla. – September 07, 2026 -- South Florida Motorsports (SFM) and Hard Rock International have signed a new multi-year naming rights agreement that renames the race the FORMULA 1 HARD ROCK MIAMI GRAND PRIX, effective from the 2027 edition. The event is contracted to remain on the Formula 1 calendar through 2041.
Hard Rock expands from founding sponsor to full title partner
Hard Rock joined the Miami race as an original Founding Partner at its 2022 launch and has held naming rights to Hard Rock Stadium, home of the NFL's Miami Dolphins, since 2016. The stadium anchors the Miami International Autodrome, a 19-turn, 3.36-mile circuit that hosts the race. Under the new deal, Hard Rock branding will appear on the official event title, logo, podium, the Fan Fest and trackside signage throughout the venue for the 2027 race, with a date still to be announced.
Hard Rock Beach Club to undergo a revamp for 2027
The Hard Rock Beach Club, located outside Turns 11 to 13, is set for an upgrade ahead of the 2027 race. Over the past five years, performers including Post Malone, Ed Sheeran, Pitbull, Zedd, Marshmello, The Chainsmokers, Kygo, Steve Aoki, Kaskade, Nelly and DJ Diesel have played the venue, with sets broadcast across the MIA Campus.
SFM president cites decade-long stadium partnership as basis for new deal
Katharina Nowak, President of the FORMULA 1 HARD ROCK MIAMI GRAND PRIX, said the partnership builds on the race's first five years and Hard Rock's role in developing Hard Rock Stadium into a global sports and entertainment destination over more than a decade. Jim Allen, Chairman of Hard Rock International, said the deal reflects the company's commitment to delivering international audience experiences and further elevating the Hard Rock brand.
Race enters sixth season backed by prior industry recognition
SFM was named Formula 1's Promoter of the Year in 2025 and received a 2026 Autosport Award. The race earned Sports Business Journal's Best New Event honor in 2022 and holds the FIA Three-Star Environmental Accreditation for sustainability management. The Miami International Autodrome has also hosted F1 Academy, Ferrari Racing Days, Porsche Carrera Cup, W Series, Formula E's Evo Sessions in 2025 and the Miami E-Prix in 2026.
