Harvard Pilgrim Enrolls 2,000+ Members in Hinge Health Since July

CANTON, Mass. – October 29, 2026 -- More than 2,000 Harvard Pilgrim Health Care members have enrolled in the Hinge Health digital musculoskeletal (MSK) program since its July launch, the Point32Health company said as it announced new and expanded clinical partnerships.

Hinge Health MSK program comes at no added cost to members

The program combines personalized exercise therapy with a care team of physical therapists and health coaches. It covers injury prevention, MSK pain management, mobility improvement, and rehabilitation before or after surgery. Members get 24/7 access, movement analysis to track progress, real-time feedback on exercises and adherence, and referrals to in-person care when needed.

Doctor On Demand adds virtual primary care on January 1, 2027

Harvard Pilgrim is expanding its relationship with Doctor On Demand by Included Health. Members already have 24/7 access to the service for urgent care and behavioral health. From January 1, 2027, they can also establish an ongoing relationship with a primary care provider through secure video, phone, or chat. The virtual PCPs will handle routine care, preventive screenings, common conditions, prescription needs, and chronic condition management. They can coordinate in-person lab work, referrals, or exams.

Wellthy extends caregiver support to disaster planning and pet care

Through Wellthy's Care Concierge service, members receive hands-on help with caregiving tasks, including senior housing searches, daily care coordination, and end-of-life planning. The support applies even when the person receiving care is not covered by the member's health plan. Harvard Pilgrim recently widened the scope to cover preparation for events such as natural disasters and the care needs of family pets.

Jake Biscoglio, president of commercial markets & specialty, said employers and consumers want health care that is "easier to understand, more affordable and more connected" to how people access care today.

Portfolio spans women's health, mental health, weight management and spending accounts

The additions join existing offerings: Ovia Health for women's and family health, Meru Health for online mental health programs for teenagers and adults, and NationsNutrition's Healthy Weight program. Employers can also offer Lifestyle Spending Accounts from Health Equity, which reimburse employees for other wellness services and activities.

Product availability, effective dates, eligibility requirements, benefits and service features vary by market, employer group, funding arrangement and plan design.
