Ibis Exits Stealth With $250M FalconX Credit Facility

New York – October 29, 2026 -- Ibis, an onchain credit platform, has emerged from stealth with a $250 million credit facility from FalconX, giving eligible crypto trading firms institutional credit capacity from launch. The company also closed its pre-seed round, led by FalconX alongside investors and executives from digital assets, institutional credit, capital markets and financial infrastructure.

FalconX facility anchors Ibis launch for crypto trading firms

Ibis originates, tokenizes, risk-manages and services structured credit facilities. It connects institutional capital providers with companies seeking new sources of scalable credit. The company says traditional lending infrastructure is often not designed for emerging industries with complex risk profiles and rapidly evolving collateral.

Founder and CEO Cooper Emmons said many strong businesses are underserved because traditional underwriters "refuse to innovate." He named crypto and prediction-market institutions as the starting point, adding that the need extends beyond digital assets.

Joshua Lim, Co-Head of Global Markets at FalconX, described the platform as infrastructure to bridge institutional capital allocators and a new generation of onchain market participants.

Anchorage Digital Bank to provide custody, banking and design support

Anchorage Digital Bank, N.A., will serve as custody, banking and design partner. Anchorage CEO and Co-Founder Nathan McCauley said the model combines structured facilities, underwriting and collateral held in regulated custody at the bank. Anchorage is also an investor in Ibis.

Innovating Capital, another pre-seed participant, will contribute expertise in credit, transaction structuring and strategic development. General Partner Anthony Georgiades said the firm will help structure facilities around each borrower's risks while giving capital providers downside protections and transparency.

Pre-seed round draws executives from Revolut, Blockchain.com and Pyth

The round includes FalconX, Anchorage Digital and Innovating Capital. Executives from Erebor, Revolut, Injective Foundation, Agora, Selini, Superstate, Flowdesk, Blockchain.com, DV Chain, Pyth, Colter Lewis and GenCap Management also participated, among others.

Monarq Asset Management Managing Partner Shiliang Tang and Selini CEO Jordi Alexander were among those who backed the platform. Both said digital asset trading firms have been underserved by traditional credit markets.

Ibis plans expansion into GPUs, robotics and venture capital

Ibis plans to extend its infrastructure to additional asset managers in emerging segments including GPUs, robotics and venture capital as frontier industries mature. It also intends to expand its network of institutional lenders and capital providers.
