Florian Neuner, head of industry and corporate communications at Tirol Werbung, cited the organization's consistent strategy process, its expanded event portfolio, and the 2024 brand relaunch as key factors behind the award. That relaunch, which has already received multiple industry honors, was built on five defined success patterns and a clear market positioning, forming the basis for Kitzbühel's long-term development as a contemporary year-round destination.

The destination's event calendar spans both B2C and B2B formats, anchored by established fixtures such as the Hahnenkamm ski races and the Generali Open. In 2026, Kitzbühel will host the Austrian Alpine Open for the first time as part of the DP World Tour. The town will also welcome the KURIER ROMY, Austria's national film and television award, for the second time in November.

"We see events as an opportunity to make high-value offerings such as our golf program or the start of winter visible nationally and internationally," said Veider-Walser, adding that formats like the Kitzbüheler Advent and PURA VIDA reflect the organization's responsibility toward residents, workers and visitors.
