Rochester, N.H. – October 13, 2026 -- Laars Heating Systems will host members of the Women in Manufacturing (WiM) Northern New England chapter at its Rochester facility on Oct. 15 for a two-hour networking event and guided plant tour.
Female engineer to lead tour through Laars production floor and laboratory
A female Laars engineer will guide attendees through the company's manufacturing operations and laboratory. Visitors will see how heating equipment is developed and produced, and will learn about career paths available in manufacturing.
Laurie Bridges, human resources manager at Laars, said the event is meant to show attendees the breadth of work in manufacturing and to help women in the industry build connections that last beyond the visit.
Event runs 8:30-10:30 a.m. at 20 Industrial Way
The session takes place at the Laars facility at 20 Industrial Way in Rochester. Refreshments will be provided, and the schedule includes time for attendees to network with Laars employees and other manufacturing professionals.
Registration is open to both WiM members and nonmembers. Tickets cost $20 for members and $30 for nonmembers.
Laars uses Rochester site to showcase engineering and production roles
Founded in 1948, Laars manufactures heating equipment in the United States. Its Rochester operations combine manufacturing and engineering, with employees working across product development and production.
WiM connects women working in manufacturing nationwide. Its Northern New England chapter gives women in the region a forum to meet peers and discuss their work.
