Lennox to Embed Everyday Electric VPP Savings in 1M+ Thermostats

Richardson, Texas – October 14, 2026 -- Lennox (NYSE: LII) will integrate Everyday Electric's savings features into its smart thermostats, giving more than 1 million installed units access to automated demand-response adjustments once the rollout starts in 2027.

Everyday Electric, formerly Renew Home, operates what it describes as the largest residential virtual power plant (VPP) in the U.S. The partnership links that network to Lennox's connected HVAC base. New smart thermostat buyers will also be eligible.

Thermostat adjustments target high-price and high-demand periods

Eligible customers can switch on features that make subtle, personalized temperature adjustments when energy prices or demand are high. The aim is to cut heating and cooling costs while keeping households comfortable. Customers can also earn utility rewards where available.

Users keep control and can change savings preferences or the temperature at any time, either on the thermostat or in the Lennox Home app. The app will also provide savings insights and tailored recommendations on further opportunities.

Lennox customers join a network of more than 6 million households

Through the integration, Lennox customers join more than 6 million households already using Everyday Electric's energy management and savings features. According to the companies, each individual adjustment aggregates into power-plant-sized capacity that can lower costs for all customers.

The companies framed the deal around grid economics. Energy demand is growing faster than predicted, and building new grid infrastructure is expensive, which is raising household bills.

Executives stress comfort-first design

Sarah Martin, EVP and President of Lennox Home Comfort Solutions, said the partnership pairs Lennox's HVAC efficiency leadership with Everyday Electric's customer-centric savings expertise.

Everyday Electric CEO Ben Brown said energy programs work when they keep comfort intact and ask customers to do nothing extra. He added that the approach rewards families for the value they already create for the grid.

The companies expect to begin rolling out the integrated features through Lennox products in 2027.
