LumApps Names Sébastien Cano CEO, Founder Ricard Becomes Chairman

Austin -- LumApps has appointed Sébastien Cano as Chief Executive Officer effective December 1, 2026, succeeding founder Sébastien Ricard, who moves into the newly created role of Executive Chairman.

Cano joins from a two-decade enterprise software career at Thales and Gemalto

Cano previously held senior executive posts at Thales and Gemalto, where he led international operations and business expansion. At LumApps he will take over day-to-day operations, focusing on executing the company's Workhub product vision and expanding customer value across global markets.

Founder Ricard retains strategic oversight as company scales to millions of users

The leadership change comes as LumApps says it now serves millions of employees across desk-based and frontline roles worldwide, including customers such as Zapier and Genuine Parts Company. Ricard will stay involved in long-term strategy and governance from his new chairman role while Cano runs operations from the company's U.S. headquarters in Austin, Texas.

Incoming CEO prioritizes AI-driven Workhub roadmap

Cano said his priority will be accelerating the Workhub innovation roadmap and ensuring employees across industries maximize value from LumApps in what he described as an AI-driven work environment. LumApps integrates with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 and has been recognized as a Leader in Intranets by Gartner and Forrester.
