Houston – September 16, 2026 -- Nutex Health Inc. (NASDAQ: NUTX) disclosed that the unauthorized third party behind its previously reported cybersecurity breach has now published on its own website the data allegedly stolen from the healthcare operator's network.
Nutex confirms attacker posted stolen data online
The Houston-based company, which operates 28 hospital facilities across 12 states, said it first flagged unauthorized network activity in an August 24, 2026 Form 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, updated on August 31, 2026. Nutex has engaged an independent cybersecurity response team and forensic experts, activated containment measures and notified law enforcement.
Data review expected to take several weeks
The company is now downloading, processing and analyzing the leaked dataset to determine its scope, contents and authenticity. Given the volume of data involved, Nutex said the review process will take several weeks to complete.
No material impact identified so far
Nutex stated it has not identified any material impact on its business operations or financial reporting systems to date. The company's materiality assessment of the incident, as outlined in its August 31, 2026 filing, remains unchanged based on currently available information.
Multiple class action lawsuits filed in Texas federal court
Following the initial disclosure, several purported class action complaints were filed against Nutex in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division. The suits are brought on behalf of a putative class of individuals whose personally identifiable information and protected health information were allegedly accessed or acquired by the unauthorized party.
Nutex said it is unable to predict the outcome of the litigation or estimate its potential impact on the company's business strategy, operations, financial condition, results of operations, or stock price. The company is continuing to evaluate regulatory and legal notification requirements and intends to notify impacted patients and employees based on its findings.
