OnchainTA to Supply Tokenized Securities Services to Transfer Online

FULLERTON – – November 03, 2026 -- Transfer Online, Inc. (TOL), an SEC-registered transfer agent operating since 1999, plans to begin offering tokenization to its clients early next year under a signed partnership with OnchainTA, the SEC-registered Digital Transfer Agent owned by Akemona, Inc. Commercial terms were not disclosed.

OnchainTA will deliver digital transfer agent services through TOL-approved workflows

Under the agreement, OnchainTA will provide digital transfer agent services, powered by Akemona's tokenization platform, to TOL. TOL stays the transfer agent of record and the primary contact for participating issuers. OnchainTA's role is limited to assigned tokenization and digital securities services.

Services may include token setup, digital security recordkeeping, transfer and corporate action support, and reconciliation reporting. The scope for each issuer or offering will be mutually agreed. TOL personnel will receive training and support on the platform to obtain records, reports, transaction information and exception data for oversight of each engagement.

Akemona won TOL's RFP and frames the deal as a model for established transfer agents

Akemona CEO Alex de Lorraine said winning TOL's RFP and completing the agreement validate the company's approach. He described the offering as a way for established transfer agents to add digital securities capabilities within their existing operating and compliance frameworks.

TOL Director of Operations Bryan Cochran said the firm chose to partner with specialists rather than build tokenization in-house, offering issuers "what's next in capital markets."

OnchainTA Release 2 adds peer-to-peer transfers and cap table tokenization

OnchainTA is preparing to introduce Release 2 shortly. Built on Akemona's tokenization infrastructure, it will expand self-service capabilities across the Issuer Hub, Investor Portal, Admin Console and related workflows. Planned features include:

  • Peer-to-peer Direct Transfer for compliant bilateral transfers of tokenized securities, subject to investor eligibility, identity verification, transfer restrictions and transfer agent controls.
  • Cap Table Tokenization (CTT), which converts verified issuer cap table positions into administered digital securities through a controlled process.
  • Digital Cap Table (DCT), designed to record, reconcile and present digital security ownership across complex ownership structures.

Akemona notes that features, scope and timing may change based on testing, regulatory requirements and implementation needs.

Implementation planning starts once engagement documentation is complete

The companies expect to begin implementation planning and onboarding after completing the applicable engagement documentation. Akemona Founder and Chief Product Officer Ravi Srivastava said the TOL relationship provides a framework for delivering Release 2 capabilities through a full-service transfer agent. OnchainTA has operated as an SEC-registered Digital Transfer Agent for tokenized securities since 2021.
