Houston – October 07, 2026 -- OptiSigns, a digital signage company powering more than 200,000 screens worldwide, has expanded its dashboard apps to work with Microsoft Power BI, Salesforce, Tableau, Grafana, Databricks and other business intelligence platforms, letting companies display automatically updating live dashboards on TVs in offices, factories and operations centers.
BI tools sit unused despite $70 billion in annual spending
Companies spend more than $70 billion a year on business intelligence software, according to HG Insights, yet research from BARC and Eckerson Group found only about a quarter of employees actively use BI tools. A 2016 meta-analysis of 138 studies published in Psychological Bulletin found that tracking progress helps people reach goals, with stronger effects when results are shared publicly rather than kept private.
Manual screenshots and exposed credentials have been the workaround
Before this update, getting dashboards onto shared screens often meant manual screenshots, leaving account credentials on devices, or publishing sensitive reports publicly -- each carrying security or accuracy risks for operations teams.
Single accounts now feed dashboards to any number of screens
With OptiSigns, companies connect a dashboard account once, select a dashboard and assign it to one screen or many. The apps support cloud and self-hosted platforms, personal or company accounts, and multiple teams simultaneously. In Power BI, a single centrally managed report can use screen-specific filters so each retail location displays only its own sales figures.
Credentials stay off screens, encrypted on OptiSigns servers
Dashboards can rotate in playlists, run on fixed schedules, or appear in split-screen layouts alongside other OptiSigns content. Screens never store account passwords or long-lived secrets, which remain encrypted on OptiSigns' servers.
