Path2Response Pitches Daily Co-Op Data to Revive Lapsed Donors

Online – October 27, 2026 -- Path2Response is pitching co-op data refreshed five times a week to nonprofits seeking to reactivate lapsed donors, arguing that internal RFM models cannot show whether inactive supporters are giving elsewhere.

Internal data shows when donors stopped giving, not where they give now

Standard win-back programs segment by Recency, Frequency and Monetary value (RFM) and estimate when a donor who lapsed 12 to 24 months ago might give again. Sending standard direct mail or generic email streams to the entire lapsed file often yields diminishing returns and a high cost per dollar raised (CPDR), according to the company.

A donor who is giving to a disaster relief fund, a local animal shelter or an advocacy campaign has an open philanthropic budget. A donor who has given to no one in two years is a weaker target for acquisition spend.

Path2Response's co-op tracks 30-, 60- and 90-day giving windows

The co-op pools first-party transaction data from a growing network of retail and nonprofit organizations. Data is updated five times a week, which the company describes as among the freshest cadences in the industry. Marketers can score a lapsed file against the co-op to identify donors who gave to any organization in the past 30, 60 or 90 days.

Reactivation targets donors who already know the brand

Unlike cold acquisition, a lapsed file contains people who know the brand and have a proven giving history. Path2Response says the shift from static, internally modeled lists to co-op-driven targeting has produced measurable gains across the sectors it has worked with. The company did not disclose figures.
