Niepołomice, Poland – September 08, 2026 -- Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is investing $25 million (PLN 95 million) to expand its precision parts manufacturing facility in Niepołomice, Poland, adding more than 120 jobs and increasing capacity for commercial and military engine components.
Expanded site targets 2028 operational start amid rising engine demand
The expanded facility is expected to become operational in 2028, boosting production of complex tubular assemblies used across multiple engine programs. The Niepołomice site already supplies precision components for the Pratt & Whitney GTF engine powering commercial passenger aircraft, the PW800 for business jets, and the F135 engine used in all variants of the F-35 Lightning II fighter aircraft.
Poland investment reaches $125 million this year across Pratt & Whitney sites
"Poland plays a vital role as a key hub in Pratt & Whitney's global engine production, a commitment further strengthened by our $125 million investment in facilities this year," said Dariusz Stopa, general manager, Pratt & Whitney in Niepołomice. The Niepołomice expansion is backed by the Polish government through the Polish Investment Zone Programme.
Rzeszow facility adds $100 million in parallel capacity expansion
The Niepołomice growth complements a separately announced $100 million investment in Pratt & Whitney's Rzeszow, Poland facilities, which is increasing production capacity and adding capabilities for processing isothermally forged parts for the GTF, F135 and F100 engines.
Poland hosts RTX's largest employee base outside the United States
RTX employs more than 9,500 people across its Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney and Raytheon businesses in Poland, making the country the company's largest investment and employee hub outside the U.S. Pratt & Whitney's Poland sites manufacture complex components including the GTF fan drive gear system, F100 static structures and critical F135 parts.
