bswift Plugs Emma Benefits AI Into Employers' Workplace Assistants
Chicago – November 05, 2026 -- bswift has made its Emma Intelligence benefits engine available to all existing clients as a plug-in for the workplace AI assistants employers already run, so employees can get answers based on their own enrollment, claims and eligibility data within a single conversation.
Emma connects to employer assistants through Model Context Protocol
The integration uses Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that lets AI assistants access information and capabilities from other services. bswift calls the design "headless": Emma's benefits intelligence works independently of its own chat interface, while the employer's assistant keeps its familiar experience and names Emma as the source. An employee can ask which medical plan they are enrolled in and receive an answer drawn from actual enrollment records.
