Sava Raises $10M Seed to Automate Trust Administration with AI

New York – October 29, 2026 -- Sava, a New York-based trust company, emerged from stealth with $10 million in seed funding led by Gradient Ventures. It is targeting the $6.5+ trillion U.S. trust and estate industry with AI agents orchestrated by human trust officers.

Y Combinator, SV Angel and Instacart's Max Mullen join Gradient in Sava's round

Other participants include Orange Collective and SurgePoint Capital. Strategic operators Tomer London, co-founder of Gusto, and Eleonora Sharef, former Head of Private Wealth at McKinsey, also joined the round.

Sava was founded by Nimit Maru, who founded Fullstack Academy (acquired in 2019) and Bloomspot (acquired in 2012 by JPMorgan Chase Bank), and by Rush Sadiwala, a repeat founder of VC-backed startups. Maru serves as CEO.

Nevada-chartered Sava Trust Company serves as administrative trustee nationwide

Sava operates through its subsidiary Sava Trust Company, an independent corporate fiduciary chartered in Nevada and regulated by the Nevada Financial Institutions Division. As administrative trustee, it handles ongoing compliance, reporting and disbursements over the life of a trust without compromising the attorney-client or advisor relationship.

The Nevada charter lets clients nationwide establish trusts in that jurisdiction. They can keep their existing advisor and attorney or use one of Sava's vetted attorney partners.

AI agents compress onboarding, KYC checks and distributions into faster workflows

Sava's agents handle onboarding, document extraction, KYC/compliance checks, custodian data synchronization, P&I accounting and distributions. Human trust officers review and approve the work and remain liable for fiduciary decisions executed under clients' trust documentation.

The company is targeting onboarding in days rather than weeks or months. Clients, attorneys and advisors get centralized, real-time visibility into trust formation, funding and administration. Clients pay a flat annual fee per trust.

Sava aims at newly wealthy founders and employees shut out by cost and friction

Each year, thousands of founders, early employees and professionals come into wealth through a sale, an IPO or a secondary. Setting up a trust still means weeks of back-and-forth among an attorney, financial advisor, CPA and trust officer, run through email, PDFs and phone calls. Sava says that cost and friction keep many potential clients from starting. Its stated aim is to widen access to estate planning tools traditionally reserved for high-net-worth individuals.

Former Hightower executive Jordan Wolff leads trusts as Sava develops an API for fintechs

Head of Trusts Jordan Wolff brings 20+ years of industry experience. Most recently he was Head of Trust & Estate Administration at Hightower Advisors ($340B+ AUM), and he previously held leadership roles at state- and national-level trust companies.

Sava is also developing API infrastructure so fintechs and financial platforms can embed trust capabilities directly into their products.

Gradient general partner Darian Shirazi cited Maru's earlier sale of a company to JPMorgan Chase as a reason for confidence that the team can build an agentic trust product meeting regulators' expectations. He said the industry "desperately needs innovation."
