Splintered Oak Equipment Acquires Three WC Tractor Dealerships in Texas

Irvine, Calif. – September 08, 2026 -- Splintered Oak Equipment has acquired WC Tractor's three New Holland dealerships in Brenham, Dayton, and Sealy, Texas, in a transaction brokered by Performance Brokerage Services.

WC Tractor divests New Holland stores to focus on Kubota operations

Founded in 1939 as a Ford tractor dealership in Brenham, WC Tractor expanded to 11 dealership rooftops across Central and East Texas by 2025 after beginning growth efforts in 2002. The family-owned company, led by Chris Wackman, has built its reputation as a leading Kubota dealer, earning Kubota's Elite Award of Excellence in 2016 and Rural Lifestyle Dealer's 2024 Dealership of the Year title. Multiple WC Tractor locations hold Kubota Circle of Excellence recognition alongside Kubota Elite and Kubota Service Elite designations. The sale of its three New Holland locations allows WC Tractor to concentrate resources on its Kubota network across Texas.

Prior 2022 deal with same buyer group paved way for new transaction

Pat Albero and Dan Argiro, Senior Partners of Performance Brokerage Services' Equipment and Commercial Truck Division, served as exclusive advisors on the deal. Albero noted the firm's familiarity with the buyer stemmed from its 2022 facilitation of the sale of Conroy Tractor to the same ownership group, which now operates as Splintered Oak Equipment. That prior relationship informed the introduction between the ownership group and WC Tractor, according to Albero.

The three dealerships will remain at their current locations under the new Splintered Oak Equipment name, retaining existing New Holland relationships, staff, and customer bases. Performance Brokerage Services has advised on nearly 450 dealership sales over the past five years, positioning it as North America's highest-volume dealership brokerage firm.
