Lausanne – October 15, 2026 -- The International University Sports Federation (FISU) and ViewLift, a DAZN company, have expanded their technology alliance to put streaming, AI-powered media management and event technology on one platform serving 167 National University Sport Federations (NUSFs), with a full launch scheduled for January 2027.
ViewLift adds a fan-facing streaming layer on top of Bornan's event infrastructure
ViewLift is working with Bornan Sports Technology, FISU's Technology and Digital Data Partner. FISU and its member federations will use ViewLift's direct-to-consumer streaming and content platform. It sits on top of Bornan's existing games management, timing, scoring and results systems.
The companies describe the result as a single pipeline that runs from live event data and broadcast production through to streaming and content distribution. The platform is intended to serve student-athletes, the NUSFs and FISU's global audience.
Soft launch in June 2026 paves the way for a January 2027 full rollout
A soft launch in June 2026 piloted core platform integrations across selected FISU properties. Additional functionality is now being introduced, including wider streaming distribution, automated content workflows and event technology integration across a broader range of FISU competitions.
The full launch is timed to support the Changchun 2027 Winter Universiade in China, the first major test of the platform at scale.
FISU's CEO targets professional-grade viewing quality
FISU Secretary General and CEO Matthias Remund said the partnership gives the federation the capability to reach a global audience with the quality seen across professional sport. ViewLift President Manik Bambha said the work with FISU and Bornan is meant to help the next generation of athletes reach a global audience.
ViewLift's sports client base spans NHL, PFL and 18 U.S. teams
FISU joins a ViewLift sports client list that includes the National Hockey League, 18 U.S. professional sports teams, six Regional Sports Networks, the Professional Fighters League and the World Racing Group. Its media clients include Versant and Kroenke Sports & Entertainment's MOTV.
Executives from ViewLift and FISU will discuss the alliance on a featured panel at SPORTEL Monaco next week, covering the platform's capabilities and its next development steps.
