ZeroRisk Raises $10M Series A to Scale Merchant Cyber Risk Platform

Dublin – September 12, 2026 -- ZeroRisk, an Irish cybersecurity firm serving payment providers, has closed a $10 million Series A funding round to accelerate global expansion and deepen deployment across major payment networks.

MiddleGame Ventures leads $10M round with Elkstone participation

The financing was led by MiddleGame Ventures, with existing investor Elkstone also participating. The capital will fund ZeroRisk's international expansion, further product development, and the operational capacity required to deploy its platform across large merchant portfolios.

ZeroRisk already serves Bank of America, Global Payments, Checkout.com and Trust Payments

Founded in 2023, ZeroRisk gives banks and payment service providers full visibility into cyber risk across their entire merchant portfolios, combining risk monitoring, compliance, training, guided remediation and protection services on a single platform. The company already works with payment providers including Bank of America, Global Payments, Checkout.com and Trust Payments.

Company expects to triple revenue in 2026 as contracted programs move to rollout

ZeroRisk anticipates tripling its revenue in 2026 as contracted programs enter implementation and its international customer base grows. The company operates from offices in Dublin and Longford, Ireland, and Atlanta in the United States, serving customers across Europe and North America.

Merchant risk shifts from annual compliance checks to daily threats

Merchant cybersecurity programs have traditionally centered on annual compliance reviews. ZeroRisk argues that smaller businesses now face risks extending well beyond compliance, including fraud attempts, stolen credentials, website vulnerabilities, attacks on connected devices, and incident recovery capability. The platform is designed to help payment processors convert compliance obligations into revenue opportunities by offering merchants value-added services.

Gary Nolan, co-founder and CEO of ZeroRisk, said payment providers have tried for years to control merchant risk through annual compliance checks, but that approach no longer suffices given daily exposure to fraud, credential theft, website vulnerabilities and device attacks. He said the company's role is to give payment providers full portfolio visibility while giving merchants a clear path to action.

Investors cite shift from product validation to large-scale rollout

Patrick Pinschmidt, co-managing partner at MiddleGame Ventures, said the ZeroRisk team combines commercial and technical expertise built through close work with leading payment providers, and is transforming a critical financial services workflow. Niall McEvoy, head of venture at Elkstone, said the company has made significant business progress since its seed round and that the Series A confirms investor confidence in its ability to drive change globally.
