ZeroRisk Secures $10M Series A to Scale Merchant Cyber Platform

Dublin – September 12, 2026 -- Irish cybersecurity firm ZeroRisk has raised $10 million in Series A funding to expand its merchant risk-orchestration platform across major payment providers, with the company projecting revenue will triple in 2026 as contracted programmes move into deployment.

MiddleGame Ventures leads round with backing from existing investor Elkstone

The Series A was led by MiddleGame Ventures, with participation from Elkstone, which first backed ZeroRisk at seed stage. The capital will fund global expansion, further product development and the operational capacity needed to deploy the platform across large merchant portfolios.

Platform already deployed with Bank of America, Global Payments, Checkout.com and Trust Payments

Founded in 2023, ZeroRisk gives banks and payment providers a single view of cyber risk across their merchant portfolios, combining risk monitoring, compliance, education, guided remediation and protection services. The company operates from offices in Dublin, Longford and Atlanta, serving customers in Europe and North America.

Company shifts merchant security from annual compliance checks to daily risk management

ZeroRisk argues that traditional merchant cyber programs, built around annual compliance exercises, no longer address the daily threats smaller businesses face, including scams, stolen credentials, website vulnerabilities and attacks on connected devices. The platform also positions payment processors to convert compliance obligations into revenue by distributing value-added services to merchants.

Gary Nolan, co-founder and CEO of ZeroRisk, said the company has moved from proving the product to deploying it at scale, and that the new funding will expand the team and deepen the platform to support payment providers building next-generation merchant cyber programmes.

Investors cite commercial traction as validation of sector-wide demand

Patrick Pinschmidt, Co-Managing Partner at MiddleGame Ventures, said the ZeroRisk team combines commercial and technical expertise built through direct work with payment providers. Niall McEvoy, Head of Venture at Elkstone, said the company's commercial progress since seed stage has been impressive and that the Series A validates investor confidence in ZeroRisk's ability to deliver change across the sector globally.
