The Big Greek Café Unifies Ordering, Loyalty via Deliverect-Thanx Stack

Silver Spring, Md. – September 15, 2026 -- The Big Greek Café has partnered with restaurant technology providers Deliverect and Thanx to consolidate first-party ordering, third-party dispatch and loyalty onto a single integrated platform across its U.S. locations.

Menu management failures pushed the brand toward a unified tech stack

Chief Operating Officer Niko Kontos said the Maryland-based Greek fast-casual chain was spending excessive time fixing menu errors and working around platform reliability issues instead of serving guests. The new stack folds the brand's loyalty program directly into checkout rather than keeping it as a separate sign-up process.

Deliverect's Commerce API runs ordering across more than 550 POS systems

The API manages menu structure, checkout and payments for locations with varying hours, pricing and fulfillment setups. It supports nested modifiers, size-based pricing, dayparted menus, and differentiated pickup-versus-delivery pricing, while automatically adjusting prep times during high-volume periods rather than forcing staff to disable ordering.

Deliverect Dispatch adds delivery without a owned fleet or market-by-market courier contracts

Orders placed on the brand's own app and website are routed automatically to couriers based on the company's configuration, eliminating the need to negotiate individual courier agreements or manage marketplace invoicing across regions.

Thanx embeds loyalty tracking into every transaction from the first order

Guests are recognized at checkout rather than through a separate loyalty sign-up, building purchase history that feeds automated campaigns designed to convert first-time visitors into repeat customers. The brand uses targeted rewards instead of blanket discounts to increase visit frequency while protecting margin.

Third-party aggregation lets a single menu update flow across all sales channels

Deliverect's Third-Party Order Aggregation & Menu Management tool synchronizes price changes, limited-time offers, and out-of-stock items across marketplaces in one update, with orders flowing directly into the point-of-sale system. Dynamic pricing and automated scheduling allow channel- and daypart-specific configurations.

Full network deployment follows initial go-live

The Big Greek Café, founded in 2009 by brothers Nikos and Simos Marmaras, will roll out the complete Deliverect-Thanx stack across its entire U.S. footprint in Maryland and Virginia. Deliverect VP Sales Noah Hayes and Thanx Founder and CEO Zach Goldstein both framed the partnership around converting one-time orders into long-term guest relationships without relying on discount-driven frequency.
