Paris – September 15, 2026 -- Ekinops (Euronext Paris: EKI) and PacketFront Software Solutions AB have formed a partnership to offer European service providers a commercially competitive alternative to incumbent networking stacks, combining Ekinops' optical networking edge hardware with PacketFront's BECS orchestration platform.
Ekinops supplies network edge while PacketFront handles automation
Under the deal, Ekinops will provide the physical network edge infrastructure, while PacketFront's BECS platform delivers orchestration, automation and service management. Ekinops platforms have been certified by PacketFront Software to operate with BECS.
Partnership targets dual-vendor resilience amid geopolitical vendor risk
European service providers are reassessing vendor strategies in response to delivery constraints, cost pressure and geopolitical vendor risk, according to the companies. The partnership is designed to help operators achieve greater dual-vendor resilience, lower operational risk, faster deployment and improved automation maturity.
Frank Dedobbeleer, Chief Revenue Officer EMEA & APAC at Ekinops, said the combination follows a low-disruption adoption model with a clear return on investment, helping providers reduce engineering effort, improve provisioning times and manage mixed network estates more efficiently.
Rollout starts in UK and Northern Europe
The partnership will initially focus on the UK and Northern Europe. It was highlighted at the PacketFront Connected Conference in Stockholm in June and is being showcased at the Connected Britain trade show in London on September 9-10.
Timo Kuusela, VP Sales at PacketFront, said the collaboration combines Ekinops' product portfolio and expertise with PacketFront's BECS OSS platform to bring a European offering to operators and enterprises.
